Hi All Food Lovers,
Today is my first day documenting my recipes. I have been innovating different dishes for a few years now, and this year my focus is on eating healthy and mindfully. I thought of collating them as I make them so I can share them with my loved ones. I aim to cook everyday and try out one new recipe each day, so expect at least one recipe each day. :)
Ingredients
1 small bowl of soaked green moong
2 fresh juicy tomatoes
1 small onion
1 cucumber
1 carrot (use long red winter carrots if available)
1/2 cup pomegranate arils
1 beetroot
Spices
A pinch of salt
1/2 spoon of red chili
1/2 spoon of dhana powder
1/2 spoon of jeera powder
1/2 spoon of chaat masala
1/2 spoon of lemon juice
Optional
Bhujia or sev
Directions
Steam the soaked green moong. Keep the steamed moong aside to cool down.
Cut the tomatoes, onion, and cucumber in cubes. Slice long pieces of carrot and thin slices of beetroot. Steam the carrots and beetroot in a steamer. Add the pomegranate arils. Mix all these vegetables with moong.
Add all of the spices to this and mix it well.
You can garnish this salad with sev or bhujia, which is not healthy but makes it very tasty. :D
This recipe is very simple and easy to make but tastes really nice. It also has many healthy ingredients like carrots (beta-carotene), beetroot (iron), and protein. It is also quite easy to digest.
Notes:
I will add photos of the steamer and steps to use it later for reference.
